Frequently Asked
Everything you might be wondering before your visit. Still have a question? I'm only a message away.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Come with clean lashes and brows — no makeup, mascara, oils or serums in the area, as they can affect adhesion and results. For lash appointments, please avoid caffeine beforehand if you can, as it helps you relax during your set. Give yourself a little extra time so you can arrive calm and unhurried.
Can I wear makeup to my appointment?
Please arrive with a bare, freshly cleansed eye and brow area. You're welcome to wear makeup elsewhere, but the treatment zone needs to be completely clean and product-free so your set lasts and your results are their best.
I'm a first-time client — what should I expect?
Every appointment begins with a consultation, where we map your look to your features, your lifestyle and the health of your natural lashes and brows. There's no pressure and no templates — just an honest recommendation for what genuinely suits you. From there, you can relax and let me take care of the rest.
How long do treatments last?
It varies by treatment. Lash extensions are maintained with refills every 2–3 weeks as your natural lashes shed. A lash lift lasts up to 8 weeks, and a lash tint 2–4 weeks. Brow lamination holds for 6–8 weeks, and a brow tint around 2–4 weeks. I'll always let you know when to book your next visit to keep things looking their best.
Do lash extensions or lash lifts damage my natural lashes?
Not when they're applied correctly — and lash health always comes first here. Every set is mapped to what your natural lashes can safely support, using premium products and a strengthening approach. Damage usually comes from sets that are too heavy or removed improperly, which is exactly what a careful, health-first application avoids.
How do I care for my lashes and brows afterwards?
Keep the area dry for the first 24 hours, then cleanse daily with a gentle lash & brow foaming cleanser to keep everything fresh and healthy. Avoid oil-based products near lashes, don't rub or pick, and brush through with a spoolie. I stock a curated range of aftercare essentials in-studio — just ask and I'll recommend the right ones for your treatment.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Life happens — I just ask for as much notice as possible so I can offer your spot to someone else. Please reach out at least 24 hours before your appointment to reschedule. You can manage your booking online or send me a message and I'll help you find a new time.
What happens if I'm running late?
Please let me know as soon as you can. If there's still enough time to complete your treatment without running into the next client's appointment, I'll happily go ahead. If there isn't, unfortunately the appointment will be forfeited along with your booking fee, and additional fees may apply. Allowing a few extra minutes to park and arrive helps everything run smoothly.
Is parking available?
Yes — there's free on-street parking around the studio on Gibson Street and the surrounding streets in Bowden. Allow a couple of extra minutes to find a spot so you can arrive relaxed and on time.
How do I book?
All bookings are made through our online booking page — simply choose your service and preferred time, and you're set. MÁDE is by appointment only, so booking ahead is the best way to secure your spot.
A non-refundable booking deposit is required to confirm every appointment, with the amount shown on the booking page. It comes off the total cost of your service on the day, and is transferable to a rescheduled appointment provided you give at least 24 hours' notice.
Where are you located?
MÁDE is located at 45a Gibson Street, Bowden SA 5007 — in Adelaide's inner west. It's a calm, private studio designed for you to slow down in, open by appointment only.
